How Can I Live the Personalized Life?

crowdThis is a question I get all of the time. As the name would imply the personalized life is a lifestyle, but it’s an individual lifestyle, and each person will live it differently. I have a personal philosophy that I’ve built over the years that I think can benefit everyone’s Personalized Life.

I love creating personalized products because they fit into my philosophy of celebrating your individuality and stimulating creativity. But it goes beyond that and has a deeper meaning. For me, it’s a Way of Life!

The personalized life is simply being yourself, standing out from crowd not conforming to what others think you should be.

Don’t fall victim to latest trends or styles just because everyone does. It’s not the brand name that counts its how you feel about the brand or product. On the flip side don’t be afraid to be a trend setter. If you have style or fashion sense that differs from the mainstream, who cares? Embrace who you are and what you like!

Take Control!

Take control of your life. Don’t let others dictate how you live your life. If you are not happy with where you are or what you are doing, then make a change. Take some time and figure out what makes you happy and make it happen. No one else can do it for you. You and you alone dictate your life!

My wife Sharon has always loved art and crafts, but spent many years working at a hospital and only doing what she loved as a hobby. Well, about 4 years ago she figured out a way to make money from her passion. She started a face painting/body art business and is now doing what she loves and makes considerably more money than she ever did at the hospital.

“You can’t change your life unless you change your life!”

Do the things you truly enjoy and those things that make you and your family happy. Take time and enjoy your family and friends. I know it’s easy to get caught up in careers and other obligations, but remember those who are close to you and will be there when you need them.

I ‘m much more conscious of this these days. I got a terrible infection last year and the ER physician told me it was a life threatening condition. After surgery, a week in the hospital and a month of hyperbaric oxygen treatments I was fine.

It was Sharon and other family members who were worried about me, cared for me and were by my side throughout the episode. It was a wakeup call about what is truly important!

Understand that you only live once; so live life to the fullest happily, healthy and charitably. Have fun, try new things, visit new places; enjoy life! Be charitable with your money, time and knowledge.

Live a renaissance lifestyle by trying a variety of things new recipes, travel, art, music, sports, crafts, boating, exercising and other activities that will help you evolve as a person.

Set Goals and Give Yourself a Target

Set goals for your life. You should have goals for all areas of your life, this will help you map out plan for life and keep you on track.

  • Where do you want to be in your career and when?
  • How much money do you want to earn?
  • Where do you want to travel to?
  • What does your dream home look like and when will you get it?
  • What school do you want to attend?
  • What kind of vehicle do you want to drive?
  • When do you want to retire?
  • How much do you want to weigh, how will you look when It happens?
  • What will you do to lead an active lifestyle?

What is it you’ve always wanted to do?

  • Write a book?
  • Run a marathon?
  • Climb Mt. Everest?
  • You fill in the blank!

Writing down, knowing and understanding how to achieve your goals will help you to live a fuller and happier life. Goals are also an excellent way to visualize what you want for your life. Think about how it will feel to achieve each goal!

Put your own stamp on the world! What will you leave behind for the world to remember you by?  Maybe you will find a cure for cancer or maybe you will make the donation that helps someone else find the cure. Be a great parent, be a great friend, help others. It’s easy to leave a positive mark on the world!

Take responsibility for actions, create no excuses and have no regrets. We all make mistakes and do things we wished we would not have. But, you can’t go back in time and change the past. So own up to your mistakes and accept the consequences.

Figure out a way to right a wrong so you don’t spend the rest of your life regretting a mistake! Human nature is to forgive and move on.

Live with an abundance mentality. I’m not only talking about money, but also happiness, love, caring about others, giving. Can anyone have too much of any of these things? I’m a big believer in the Law of Attraction, but that’s a blog for another day. You get back from the universe what you send out to it!

Living the Personalized Life does not mean being perfect, but does mean striving to be the best you can be. Don’t settle for being less, you can be and do whatever you put your mind to.

Live a community friendly life. Take part in activities that benefit the community you live in or frequent online. Be active, support causes and share your knowledge and experience.

Be self aware, access where you are and look for ways to improve your life!

Teach and encourage your children to live the same way! It’s our job as parents to instill values into our children. I know at some point kids will make their own decisions, but take the time when you can and share your personalized life philosophy with them.

You will be surprised at how much a child can pick up and begin applying at a very early age. Don’t allow them to have a negative attitude, and nurture them to believe they can do anything they want. This is an important way you change the world and help make it a better place!

So, there you have it, my Personalized Life philosophy in a nut shell. I understand it’s not right for everyone, but the point is for you to create your own Personalized Life philosophy. Give it some thought; it will help define who you are.

I wish I could say I do all these things perfectly every day, but I can’t. It’s an evolving process and I’m continually learning, striving to get better and living the best Personalized Life that I can!

That’s if for now, make sure to live the Personalized Life your way!

Until next time,
